  • Milk as needed
  • Salt & Pepper to Taste

On a dreary day there is nothing better than homemade mac & cheese, here is a simple recipe that your whole family will enjoy. What you need:

1/2 package or box of macaroni or gluten free pasta-cooked according to instructions.  Drained and rinsed.

1/2 box of cream cheese

1 T. Butter (I use I can’t believe it’s not butter, use your favorite)

1-2 c. velveeta cheese cubed (I use 2% velveeta)

Milk as needed

Salt & Pepper to Taste

Once the pasta has been boiled, rinsed and drained, set aside.  Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the pot you boiled the pasta in.  Let butter melt over a low to medium heat.  Add 1/2 block of cream cheese, and 1 c. of cubed velveeta, let it start to melt being careful not to burn.  Add milk if you need to in order to make the sauce creamy, add more cheese depending on your desire.  Once you have your desired consistency with the cheese sauce, add the drained pasta.   Mix well, season with salt and pepper and serve.  My grandkids love this recipe, and are always asking for my homemade mac and cheese.
