One frozen ready to bake deep dish pie crust

4 to 5 green delicious apples, peeled, seeded, and cored

½ C. butter-melted

½ c. brown sugar

1 C. flour

1 C. sugar substitute spit in half ½ cup and ½ cup

¼ C. water

1 T. plus 1 tsp. Cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350*

Take your apples and make sure to peel, and core, removing all seeds and stems.  Slice the apples to desired thickness, about ¼ inch or less.  I use my apply peeler corer because it slices the apples right up for me and makes the apples easy to use, and cuts my time in half.  Layer the apples in the pie crust.  If you like more apples, add one or two more, but not more than 7 apples.  Sprinkle 1/8th cup of water over the apples. Sprinkle ½ c. of sugar substitute over the apples.   Sprinkle 1 T. cinnamon over the apples, sprinkle remaining 1/8th cup of water over apples.

In a bowl mix together, the ½ cup of melted butter, ½ cup of brown sugar, 1 cup of flour, and ½ cup of sugar substitute.  Mixture will get stiff and doughy and eventually dry and crumbly; this is good because you are making the crumbs for the top of your pie.  Add 1 tsp. of cinnamon to the mixture, continue until everything is well mixed and crumbly.  Place the crumbs on top of the apple pie.  Bake in a 350* oven for approximately 45 minutes or until the top of the pie begins to brown.  Stand and let cool for 15 minutes, cut, and serve.
